About

I’m a backend developer and computer science educator based in Kathmandu, Nepal. For the last four years I’ve split my time between two things I care equally about: shipping software and teaching people how to build it.

On the development side I work mostly in Python and Django REST Framework, with earlier experience in Android (Java, Cordova) and a solid foundation in C/C++ and Java. On the teaching side I lecture undergraduate programming at Islington College, teach Grades 11–12 Computer Science at Kavya College, and author chapters, video scripts, and teacher-training materials for Ing Impact and the national CS curriculum.

I’m open to freelance and contract work — particularly Python/Django backend projects, REST API design, and technical content development. If you’re building something in that space, let’s talk.

    Content Author — Ing Impact

    • Develop curriculum-aligned Grade 11 & 12 Computer Science content based on CDC guidelines.
    • Design chapters covering both theoretical foundations and practical, runnable examples.
    • Write programming exercises and problem-solving activities matched to examination requirements.
    • Review content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency across the book.
  2. 2023 — Present

    CS Content Expert & Teacher — Kavya College

    • Contributed to Nepal’s national Computer Science curriculum for Grades 9–12 — authored video scripts, eBooks, and teaching slides.
    • Authored video scripts and teaching slides for the national C programming curriculum.
    • Designed and delivered a 2-week intensive Training for Teachers program on Python fundamentals and secondary-education pedagogy.
    • Led a 10-day advanced training on Python for Data Science — NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn.
    • Teach the national CS curriculum to Grades 11 & 12 using interactive coding platforms and real-world case studies.
  3. 2021 — 2024

    Java Programming Lecturer — Islington College

    • Taught large-scale Java programming courses — 500+ undergraduate students per semester.
    • Mentored and supervised 25+ final-year student projects from concept through implementation.
    • Designed course materials, lab sessions, and assessments with a heavy focus on hands-on programming and live debugging.
    • Built internal automation tools for assignment checking and marks entry — reduced grading time and improved consistency.
  4. 2018 — 2020

    Mobile Application Developer — Freelance

    • Built, deployed, and maintained Android and iOS applications using Cordova, Objective-C, and Java.
    • Owned the full lifecycle — requirements, performance optimization, App Store / Play Store deployment.
